Public Hearing Scheduled for August 3rd at 7:00 pm in the High School Auditorium

A public hearing will be held at the West Perry School District, in the District's High School Auditorium, located at 2608 Shermans Valley Rd, Elliottsburg, PA 17024, on August 3 at 7:00 pm prevailing time, for the purpose of reviewing all relevant matters relating to the proposed permanent closing of the Blain Elementary School, currently located at 132 Blain Rd, Blain, PA 17006. Section 780 of the Pennsylvania Public School Code requires that the school board hold a public hearing prior to the permanent closing of a public school building. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the reasons for the proposed closure of the school, the alternatives considered, and to take public comment on the same. This public hearing is being held pursuant to the requirements of the Pennsylvania School Code.
