Welcome to WPMS!  My name is Renee LeDonne and i am the Principal at West Perry Middle School.  The 2024-2025 school year marks my 20th year in the District, all at the middle school.  I live in the West Perry footprint and am a proud parent of two West Perry graduates.  I have spent all 28 years of my career in the middle school setting, continuing to love the energy, diversity and personality of middle school students.  

We are very proud of our middle school program. We know that the move to middle school is not only an important event in your child’s life, but also in yours. To help make this transition successful, our school provides a series of activities for our incoming students. These activities help our new students get to know the school, the staff and the students.. 

The role of the middle school is to help children make a successful transition through adolescence. With the welfare of your child in mind, it is essential that we work together sharing the insights we have about adolescents. We truly believe that when the family and school work together and support each others' efforts, the best education can be provided for your child.

We have two new resources for instruction and learning, iReady Classroom Mathematics & Activate Learning, an investigation centered curriculum.  Schoology (pronounced Skool-O-GEE) is not a new resource, but will be the main communication system for parents to stay in the know regarding what is being learned and assigned in their students classes.  Additionally, information such as events, messages and updates about the middle school are accessible through Schoology.
